Limit Break: GEARS – An ability that Luffy uses sparingly during his adventures, calling upon it only when the need for it is required, as it does leave him vulnerable afterwards. This technique actually draws from his life force, shaving minutes away from his lifespan if not used properly. It heightens his speed, agility, strength, and energy tenfold, allowing him to move at a speed greater than the blink of an eye and pummel steel as if it were paper thin. Depending on the level he uses, it will either leave him paralyzed or shrunken to the size of a small child. The duration of this drawback is equal to the length of time he uses the ability, however he can only ever use the ability for a max of five minutes.
